Military members and veterans can get NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube for $198 for the 2026 NFL season through the ID.me Heroes Service Plan. The offer is also available to eligible first responders, members of the medical community, and teachers. If you qualify, you can verify your status through ID.me and purchase the subscription without signing up for YouTube TV.
Before you buy, there are a few things worth checking. The discount has specific eligibility requirements, the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel, and the offer does not include a free trial. Here is how the NFL Sunday Ticket military discount works, how to claim it, and what to know before completing your purchase.
How Much Is the NFL Sunday Ticket Military Discount?
The 2026 ID.me Heroes Service Plan offers eligible customers NFL Sunday Ticket for $198. You can also add NFL RedZone for an additional $42, bringing the total to $240 before any applicable taxes or other charges.
| Subscription option | Price for the 2026 season |
|---|---|
| NFL Sunday Ticket through the Heroes Service Plan | $198 |
| NFL Sunday Ticket with NFL RedZone | $240 total |
| Free trial | Not included |
The offer is available through YouTube Primetime Channels. You do not need an active YouTube TV subscription to purchase the standalone package, although you can watch your purchased subscription through either YouTube or YouTube TV.
These prices are for the advertised 2026 offer, not a guarantee of the price for future seasons. Check the official YouTube military and Heroes Service Plan offer before paying.
Who Qualifies for the Military Discount?
Despite the name, the Heroes Service Plan is not limited to active-duty military personnel. YouTube lists four eligible groups for the discounted NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.
- Military members and veterans: Eligible U.S. military personnel and veterans who can verify their status through ID.me.
- First responders: Eligible first responders who can complete the required verification.
- Medical community: Qualifying members of the medical community.
- Teachers: Eligible teachers who meet the offer's verification requirements.
You must complete the verification process for the category that applies to you. Simply working in one of these fields does not guarantee approval, because ID.me determines eligibility based on its verification requirements.
The offer is intended for eligible customers in the United States, and ID.me's terms note that some U.S. territories are excluded. Review the ID.me NFL Sunday Ticket offer terms to confirm your eligibility.
How to Claim the NFL Sunday Ticket Military Discount
You can start from YouTube's official Help page and follow the verification process for your eligible group. Keep the Google Account you want to use for watching the games in mind before you begin.
Step 1. Open the official offer page
Visit the YouTube Help page for the Heroes Service Plan. Choose the verification link for your group, such as military or veteran, first responder, medical community, or teacher.
Step 2. Verify your eligibility through ID.me
Follow the ID.me instructions and sign in to your existing account or create one if required. Complete the verification steps requested for your category.
If your status cannot be verified, check ID.me's guidance or contact its support team rather than attempting to purchase through an unrelated discount link.
Step 3. Continue to YouTube
After successful verification, you should be directed to the relevant YouTube purchase flow. Sign in with the Google Account you want to use for NFL Sunday Ticket.
Check the account carefully before checkout. YouTube notes that purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket through ID.me isn't available while you're signed in with a Brand Account, so switch to your personal Google Account before continuing.
Step 4. Choose your subscription
Review the available payment options and decide whether you want NFL RedZone. The official offer lists NFL RedZone for an additional $42 with the Heroes Service Plan.
Step 5. Review the terms and complete checkout
Before confirming payment, check the final amount, renewal date, and subscription conditions. Save your purchase confirmation and receipt so you can refer to them later.
For the official purchase instructions, see YouTube's Heroes Service Plan guide.
Can Veterans and Existing Subscribers Get the Discount?
Yes. The official offer terms state that both new and existing subscribers can qualify, subject to verification and the applicable conditions.
ID.me's offer terms also state that existing subscribers will auto-renew at the eligible $198 offer. Check the renewal price shown in your account before the billing date rather than relying on a renewal email.
If you previously purchased NFL Sunday Ticket through a different offer, do not assume that your current subscription will automatically switch to the Heroes price. Check your membership and renewal details first. If necessary, follow YouTube's instructions for purchasing through ID.me.
You can review the official terms on the ID.me offer page.
What Does the Discounted Subscription Include?
NFL Sunday Ticket is designed for fans who want to watch out-of-market Sunday afternoon NFL regular-season games that are not carried on local broadcasts in their area.
It is not an all-access subscription for every NFL game. The standalone package excludes locally broadcast Fox and CBS games, Sunday Night Football on NBC, Monday Night Football on ESPN, and digital-only games under the published offer terms.
If you mainly follow a team outside your local television market, the subscription may be useful. If you want local broadcasts and a wider selection of live TV channels, compare the total cost of a YouTube TV plan and the NFL Sunday Ticket bundle before choosing.

NFL Sunday Ticket Military Discount vs. Student Discount
The military offer is not necessarily the lowest-priced option available to every customer. YouTube also advertises a separate student plan for eligible students.
| Detail | Heroes Service Plan | Student plan |
|---|---|---|
| Advertised 2026 price | $198 | $119 |
| Eligibility | Verified eligible military, veterans, first responders, medical community, and teachers | Eligible students |
| Verification | ID.me | Student verification |
| Best next step | Check the Heroes offer terms | Check the official student offer |
The student plan has its own restrictions and should not be assumed to be interchangeable with the Heroes Service Plan. If you are a veteran who is also enrolled as a student, compare both offers and confirm which one you can actually claim.
Separately, YouTube Premium offers its own student discount for eligible higher-education students. Our guide to the YouTube Premium student discount covers current US pricing, SheerID verification, and renewal rules.
For the current alternatives, visit YouTube's NFL Sunday Ticket deals page.
Does the Military Discount Include a Free Trial?
No. The published ID.me Heroes Service Plan terms state that the offer does not include a free trial.
Your payment method is required at signup, and the subscription is non-refundable under the offer terms. This means you should confirm that you have selected the correct Google Account, package, and payment option before completing the purchase.
Do not rely on free-trial information from an unrelated YouTube TV promotion. A separate offer may have different conditions.
Read the official ID.me offer terms before subscribing.
Will NFL Sunday Ticket Automatically Renew?
Yes. The offer terms state that the membership automatically renews at the then-current season price unless you cancel before the billing renewal date. The $198 promotional price should not be treated as a guaranteed price for every future season.
To review your renewal date, sign in to YouTube with the account used to purchase the subscription and open your YouTube Purchases and Memberships settings.
Check the renewal date and current terms before the next season. If you do not want the subscription to renew, follow YouTube's cancellation instructions before the billing deadline.
The Heroes offer is non-refundable, including for partial seasons. Confirm your plans before paying, especially if you expect to watch only a few games.
When Does the 2026 Military Discount Expire?
The official YouTube Help page lists the Heroes Service Plan as available until January 10, 2027. However, the detailed ID.me offer terms list December 31, 2026, as the redemption deadline.
Because these official pages show different dates, do not assume that the later date will necessarily be honored in every purchase flow. Check the live offer and the deadline displayed during verification and checkout. Google also reserves the right to change or cancel the offer.
Start with the official YouTube offer details and confirm the applicable terms on the ID.me offer page.
